On 3 May 2016, PT Parama Dharma and Foundation Duranno Indonesia (FDI) held “K-eduplex Phase 1 Construction” contract signing ceremony in Jakarta Selatan. Tedious, but extremely important bidding process for selecting the main contractor had begun during the second half of 2015, and eventually PT Parama Dharma was chosen as the sole contractor for Phase 1.

On 21 May 2016, municipality of Bekasi issued the long awaited construction permit (IMB). With this permit, K-eduplex would be able to start constructing not only the first campus building, but all buildings already planned within the campus boundary.
